About me
Jaime Camero is a K-6 STEAM teacher and mentor teacher in the Flowing Wells Unified School District in Tucson. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has been teaching for 21 years. Jaime received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from University of the Southwest and her master’s in curriculum and instruction from New Mexico State University. She has been an Arizona Top 10 Teacher of the Year, a Raytheon Leader in Education winner, and the first National STEM Scholar in Arizona. She serves as a Tucson Regional Educator Collaborative (TREC) Teacher Leader, leading a regional community of practice focused on the work of Joe Feldman’s Grading for Equity. She is a proud member of the advisory board for Tucson Values Teachers and publishes the newsletter for Partners for Equitable Science Instruction. When she is not working on her campus, she enjoys spending time with her family, engaging with her Tucson community, and being in the great outdoors.
